Two of Liz’s great passions in life are travel and photography. Throughout most of her life, she has been traveling and looking for different ways to learn from and interact with cultures. She loves capturing life in motion in different countries around the world to create the kind of images that convey a story.
Her love of exploring has brought her to 41 countries to date across six continents including Myanmar, Colombia, Kenya, Egypt, Australia, Thailand, Jordan and so many more. In 2017, she traveled for the first time to the mainland of Portugal – country #41 at the age of 41. It was quite symbolic for her and sparked a photography idea while traveling there to capture 41 images of Portugal. Thus creating the travel photography exhibition, “Portugal 41”.
Liz is of Portuguese descent…her parents immigrated to the USA in the late 1960’s from Terceira, Acores (a small island off the coast of Portugal and smack dab in the middle of the Atlantic ocean). She was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts with both the American lifestyle & Portuguese traditions. Liz speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish and has an International Business degree from Merrimack College, a certificate in Spanish from Barcelona, Spain and 30 years of experience in the marketing industry.
