I’m a professional travel photographer who, since youth, has had a passion for travel and been fortunate enough to have embarked on numerous journeys, immersing myself in diverse cultures and documenting my stories through my lens.

Born into an Azorean heritage, my roots trace back to Terceira, Azores, a picturesque island nestled in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Portugal. Born and raised in the state of Massachusetts, allowed for me to experience a unique blend of American and Portuguese cultures. I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish and hold a degree in International Business, Spanish certificate from Barcelona and have a solid background within the marketing, tourism and international education industries spanning over three decades.

With an insatiable wanderlust, I have explored 49 destinations across 6 continents to date (Antarctica, I’m coming for you!). Some of the captivating destinations I have been fortunate to explore include, Portugal, Azores, Italy, Czech Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Kenya, Egypt, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Jordan, Israel, and so many others!

I have exhibited my photography work in various galleries across New England, including Winnekenni Castle, Trescott Street Gallery, and various public libraries.

My recent exhibition, “Portugal Unveiled: Through the Doors of Time”, invites viewers to explore the symbolism of Portugal’s vintage doors and reflect on the doors they encounter daily – the opportunities that present themselves, the challenges that may seem like closed doors, and the potential for growth and change.

Through this exhibition, I encourage everyone to see vintage doors, like opportunities that may sometimes be hidden or overlooked, blending into the backdrop of our lives. Just as each vintage door in Portugal holds a unique story, each opportunity that comes our way carries the promise of a new chapter in our own journey. Embracing the unknown behind these doors can lead us to moments of beauty, understanding, and self-discovery that we may never have imagined possible.
